Through the power of creating excellent guest experiences, William P. Miller’s sense of style, knowledge of design, and “insider” entertainment contacts have all placed him in the upper echelon of the special events industry. Known for his creative vision, versatility, and ability to execute, W.P. has traveled the world, producing breathtaking events: from intimate receptions to spectacular galas and lavish weddings.
His trend-setting event designs and spectacular events have appeared in national publications such as People Magazine, Brides Magazine, Life & Style, Essence, Ebony, Jet, In Style Magazine and many others. He has also appeared on many network television shows, including Entertainment Tonight, Whose Wedding Is It Anyway?, and Married Away, as well as on the International French network program 100% Mag.
Known as the “go-to-guy” for event planning among the nation’s elite, W.P. has planned social events for such luminaries as Former Vice-President Kamala Harris; First Ladies Michelle Obama, Hilary Clinton and Senior Presidential Advisor Valerie Jarrett, in addition to Senators Cory Booker, Kristen Gillibrand, Tim Kaine, and Harry Reid, He has also earned the trust of Hollywood’s Who’s Who, including Academy Award-winning actor Mira Sorvino; Emmy Award-winning actors Niecy Nash-Betts, Sheryl Lee Ralph; Actresses Jenifer Lewis, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Holly Robinson Peete, Kym Whitley, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Lela Rochon Fuqua, and others.
A native of Chicago, W.P. is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach with a degree in Marketing and International Business. Before his career in the Special Events industry, for twenty years, W.P. worked in a variety of project management, marketing, and customer service positions with United Airlines where several successful consumer initiatives were under his direction.
Deciding to pursue his passion for design, home entertainment, and orchestrating excellent guest experiences, W.P. founded his entertainment production company, “W. P. Miller Special Events” in 1999. The company has grown to become a highly sought-after “one-stop-shop,” handling all aspects of event production. Over the years he has produced events for earning the trust of well-known celebrities, politicians, and respected corporate leaders.
Miller is finishing an upcoming publication that will share his secrets of Home Entertainment and International Event Planning. When he’s not planning an event, you may find W.P. speaking at industry conferences, designing custom stationery or table linens, or supporting the homeless and inner-city youth.
